Senior Merchandiser

(fast-paced all-rounded for all types of garments)

Job Duties:

• Monitor master project timetable and deadlines of all ongoing projects and report to management
• Independently handle full scope of merchandising work involving different types of garments in both knits, woven, sweater, and accessories
• Manage and respect production and delivery deadlines
• Tasks and project management and quality control with downstream merchandisers from sourcing to end product
• Set up check points to ensure problems are noticed during production and before delivery
• Complete all tasks and duties diligently, scientifically, logically, and efficiently
• Work intimately with sales team and design team for on-the-fly production development and sampling
• Liaise closely with all vendors and manufacturers in order to ensure on-time delivery and quality assurance
• ISO 9001:2008 compliant document handling
• Required to work with parties of all levels (internal and external)
• Report directly to mangerial level

Job Requirements:

• Must have 5 years of experience in garment merchandising in both knit and woven
• Experience in UNIFORM will be IMMEDIATELY CONSIDERED with higher salary
• Experience in bespoke tailoring and made-to-measure garments will be FIRST PRIORITY with higher salary
• Must be able to do full merchandising independently from understanding what client needs, to sampling, to production, to quality control, to delivery
• Need understanding of different fabrics and be able to source fabrics
• Highly self-motivated and commission-driven character
• Must possess good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively
• Must be extremely detail-orientated and possess excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• Must have the ability to exercise initiative and good judgment
• Must possess attentive listening skills with the ability to extract key information
• Must work well in a team environment
• Must be flexible and adaptable and have the ability to change priorities according to business needs
• Fluency in Mandarin and good written Chinese is a MUST (Chinese typing is a MUST)
• Ability to read English with full understanding is a MUST
• Technology savvy (use of QQ, Whatsapp, Wechat)
• Extensive exposure to men's, women's, and sports apparel is preferred
• Exposure to bags and accessories is a plus
• International experience is highly regarded
• Able to motivate and focus others
• Willing to work overtime to complete unfinished work in hand
• Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines and problem-solving ability
• Multi-tasking of several projects and development simultaneously
