Job Details:

Location : HK IPO office

• This person is in charge of the purchasing of IPO export business related to UPS (uninterrupted power supply) and UPS batteries.
• In accordance with IPO and Group purchasing policy, propose IPO purchasing orientation and strategy for this scope of spends.
• Work with different operational purchasing and R&D/Industrial teams at group level, to ensure the implementation of purchasing policies;
• Based on the need of operating team, with support from group purchasing teams, to rationalize the supplier panel of those commodities in order to have a reliable, cost effectiveness and competitive supplier base;
• Building and maintaining a supplier panel that is as competitive as possible (He/she is responsible for choosing the supplier list – panel then final appointment with IPO and Group Purchasing management), while complying with the various stages of our quality process.
• Negotiating and implementing legal contracts with the selected suppliers, with support of group and IPO teams
• Work to improve the KPIs (include & not limited to: Savings plan, capital employed, and supplier risk management). Accountable for the KPIs of this scope of activities.
• Be in charge of continuous improvement for yearly saving plan. He/she ensures that progress is made on action plans drawn up to fulfil previously defined savings targets.
• Resolving serious conflicts between the company and suppliers

Communication

• Need to work closely with different group industrial, R&D, and purchasing teams

Travel

• Frequent travel needed covering mainly Asian regions, and occasional travels to Europe and India.

Requirements:

• Multinational company working experience > 8 years including at least 5 years experiences in UPS industry. With UPS technical and engineering background. Have a deep knowledge of UPS and batteries supply market. Ideally with purchasing experience.
• High integrity of ethical behavior
• Bachelor degree, major in Business , or in Electronic, or in Mechanical
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Result oriented.
• High Communication Skill
• Proficient in English
• Proficient with computer skills
• Need frequent travel to Asian regions and occasionally to Europe.

Position would report directly to Purchasing Manager of the International Purchasing Office.
