Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead or support a variety of SAP projects including SAP for Insurance (e.g. FS-CD), Financial (e.g. FAM) and Accounting (e.g. FICO)
- Lead the day-to-day activities of ERP advisory engagements for a variety of clients, including developing proposals, responding to tenders and chairing client meetings
- Lead or support other SAP projects such as Human Resources (e.g. HCM), Business Intelligence (e.g. BW/BI) or Governance, Risk and Control (“GRC”)
- Lead or support the entire SAP implementation life cycle, including phases such as business cases, strategy and roadmap development, project preparation, blueprint, realisation, final preparation and go-live support
- Lead or support ERP project activities such as business process optimisation, change management, control design (e.g. segregation of duties [SoD]), system readiness review, and post go-live review
- Lead and manage other ERP functional and technical consultants in providing consultancy services for clients
- Identify and present findings/performance improvement opportunities to senior management and client
- Take on a supervisory role and provide guidance for staff working on assigned engagements
Additional responsibilities for the senior manager:
- Identify prospective engagements, develop proposals and lead project contract negotiations
- Identify and build long-term business relationships with new target clients and key executives
Qualifications
- Experience in implementing SAP Insurance Industry Solution (e.g. FS-CD)
- Minimum of six years’ experience in hands-on SAP implementation as a business analyst or business lead for business process improvement projects
- Completion of at least two full SAP implementation life cycles as an SAP functional consultant for SAP FICO, MM, SD or PM
- Demonstrated Knowledge base in SAP business cases, strategy and roadmap development, SAP governance, IT operations, systems evaluation, and enterprise architecture
- Demonstrated track record of leadership, client management and project management
- Knowledge of the SAP implementation methodologies
- SAP certifications for SAP functional consultants and/or technical consultants
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in an appropriate field
- Experience with SAP Human Resources (HR) or Business Intelligence (BI) is a plus
- CISA / CISM / CISSP certification is a plus
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior level executives
- Excellent team-building and coaching abilities
- Strong client services orientation and accustomed to taking an active role in executing projects
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel
Additional qualifications for the senior manager:
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in SAP implementation or business process improvement
- Excellent mentoring and leadership abilities
- Accomplished executive business development track record
- Ability to write at a publication quality level for external thought leadership and public communications
