Our client, a major global organisation, now seeks to appoint a Team Leader (Supplier Network) to be based in their office in Hong Kong.

Summary of Job :

This role supports our client's supplier network in APAC, reporting to the Senior Manager, Suppliers Network in the region. The Supply Chain Management department leads RFP projects to regularly drive our supply chain governance model to: select our active network of suppliers; negotiate pricing; contracting; provide training to suppliers, client policies and company procedures; establish performance standards, and measures results. Supply Chain Management is also responsible for supporting business development and client services by providing internal training and attending transition meetings and client presentations.

Responsibilities:

Operational point of support in region, reporting to Senior Manager, Supplier Network

Support role for global client interface, including client reviews and prospect presentations

Supply chain ownership for a number of suppliers, which could include destination services, tenancy management, ancillary services for inbound APAC.

Supply chain management role in selection (through RFP), price negotiation, contracting, system updates, training (development and delivery), issue logging and resolution, performance review, cost, volume and performance tracking

Management of appointed clients within region to be the liaison on our services and support client reviews

Business development support for RFPs, RFIs, and re-bids for existing client business

Proficiency in Excel and IGP/GSP reporting; provide data support for pricing analysis, cost savings reports, client spend, volume reporting, and other data tracking

Drive improvement of supplier data integrity in IGP / GSP

Ability to present balanced solutions for supplier, client, and be an internal advocate

Research, develop, and deliver trainings for suppliers and internal operational teams

Support all performance monitoring of supplier set via issue logs; service watch and action plans to bring performance to our client’s premiere service level

Utilization of effective procurement methodology and ability to demonstrate cost savings and Strategic Sourcing Solution value add both to clients and internal stakeholders

Proactive team member for the development of Strategic Sourcing function and creation of new products and processes

Qualifications / Requirements:

Degree holder with at least 3+ years’ working experience preferably in relocation or supply chain management field.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and presentation skills

Leadership approach to problem solving/decision-making both at strategic and tactical level

Strong motivating influence to internal and external partners and ability to work independently

Project management skills: Attention to detail, highly organized, and deadline-focused

Ability to analyze key financial data and put in place supplier performance measurements

Excellent negotiating and analytical skills

Flexibility to work across time zones and travel

Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, proficiency in other languages would be advantageous
