Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager and supervising a team in sales and merchandising, the position is a strategic role to manage client relations and the whole merchandising operations to drive expansion of business turnover through in-depth understanding of current and potential client needs, formulation of customer service and sales lead strategies, formulation of supply chain partnership support, and redeployment of internal merchandising operations resources.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand  client expectations and direction through regular interactions
  • Manage a team to collect market information and trend, propose and execute needs for new product and other customers development initiatives
  • Develop and manage the relationships with clients and trading partners in order to generate sustainable business opportunities
  • Devise and execute the overall sales and merchandising strategies

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Textile or Apparel Discipline, Master graduate preferred
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in Merchandising/Sales roles within apparel industry and at least 8 years of which is at a managerial level in sizable companies
  • Key management role in renowned apparel / accessories brand is an advantage
  • Knowledge of accessories and apparel production processes is essential
  • In-depth knowledge in market trends and customer intelligence
  • Aggressive with strong business sense and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and problem solving skills, self-driven and proactive
  • Excellent planning, organizing, negotiation and analytical skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in both written and oral English and Mandarin
  • Proficiency in using MS office applications
  • Require traveling to PRC and overseas occasionally
