Main Job Objectives

• Manage sample development. And control whole development process within scheduled time table;
• Materials sourcing and development including fabrics and trims;
• Negotiate with supplier for prices and control cost;
• Set up time and action calendar for vendors and production team to follow;
• Capacity planning with line manager and vendors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be overall responsible for the development production of assigned products and keeping targets like development proposals, development schedule deadline, production costs and etc.;
• Assist the Sweater & Accessory Manager to lead the team in Shanghai;
• Clarify and finalize technical files with internal departments;
• Communicate with suppliers in mainland China, South East Asia and head office in France;
• Collaborate closely with suppliers to eliminate open issues and mitigate risks of delayed development production and unapproved changes;
• Cooperate closely with internal QC department regarding testing issues during development stage until bulk stage and approve final sample version;
• Handle order inquiries including cost analysis and price negotiations;
• Develope current suppliers and lift them up to the required Devanlay level;
• Other tasks assigned by manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor degree or above in Textile, International trade or relevant background is preferable;
• 8-10 years solid working experience in textile field (garment);
• Have a good knowledge on sweater;
• Familiar with product development procedure and all the samples schedule;
• Excellent spoken and written English, good in Mandarin;
• Self motivated and results driven, good team player;
• Good communication skills and goal-oriented;
• Willing to travel is a must.
