Job Duties

• Function as a bridge between Europe Design Team and HK Merchandising Team
  
• Sourcing all kinds of woven and knitted fabrics plus garment trims either inspired by Europe Design team, the market trend and/or inspiration
  
• Keep track on the latest developments of Fashion Materials in Far East markets such as China, Taiwan, Japan and Korea
  
• During new start of the season, actively in preparing research including price level and process schedule as reference for the designers
  
• Follow up from fabric research till quality finalize, & arrange initial fabric to Sample Room for sample making
  
• Maintain strong network and connections with fabric mills and suppliers especially in PRC and Far East countries
  
• Trips to PRC are needed

Job Requirements

• Degree holder in Design, Textile clothing or relevant discipline
  
• Over 5-6 years solid experience in sourcing woven and knitted fabric and garment trims for ladies’ branded fashion collection
  
• Solid experience on working with EU designers, preferably for sounded EU labels
  
• Strong fashion sense with resourceful & extensive knowledge in sourcing fancy woven / knitted fabric and garment trims on a global basis, according to designers’ idea and suitable for EU markets
  
• Comprehensive knowledge in fabric / colour development, production process and finishing technology such as dyeing, washing and printing techniques
  
• Proactive, well plan, positive with good inter-personal skills and able to work under high pressure
  Possess board sense knowledge of suppliers in China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan
  
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English plus Mandarin
  
• Hands on PC knowledge (MS word, excel and email operations)
