Our client is seeking for a high calibre candidate to execute the corporate retail channel strategy by growing the Company’s footprint and market share in Hong Kong region and drive excellence in retail operations across all the Brands under the Group.

 

You will work closely with Managing Director and Brand Managers, Finance department heads, and Regional leaders to align the group’s real estate and retail operations practices with global strategies.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop the commercial strategy for alternative brick & mortar distribution channels (shopping malls, free-standing stores, partnerships with retailers, outlets, other new formats etc.)
  • Responsible for location sourcing and launch planning for the new market entries
  • Work closely with Brands and negotiate with landlords
  • Ensure the Brands secure the best spaces/ locations in the most cost- and time-effective manner
  • Keep abreast of market trends – initiate retail geographic studies, monitor market evolution trends, city mapping, competitor research etc.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with the real estate industry including developer and, landlords
  • Manage multi-brand commercial relationships on behalf of the Company, P/L, marketing and promotion strategy
  • Share best practices and competitor/ business intelligence
  • Drive standardization of back-office retail operations policies and procedures in line with global policies and the Company operations manual
  • Organize Retailers staff training

 

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in management e.g. MBA is advantageous
  • 10 years+ professional experience Hands-on experience in local real estate negotiations from location selection to maintenance and/ or exit
  • Detailed knowledge of the legal process related to real estate contracting and management
  • Experience of leading and managing the new store opening process, including coordination in store design and construction
  • Broad hands-on local knowledge of retail store operations
  • Experience of Retail Point of sale (POS) systems/ platforms
  • Experience in coaching/ training best practices in retail management
  • Experience in luxury/ prestige/ beauty industries an advantage
  • Disciplined self-starter, ability to influence, lead, collaborate
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure and highly visible work environment
  • Excellent oral/ written communication and presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Fluency in English and Chinese language, written and oral
