Job Description

In this position you will be facing the following tasks:

You will be responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of ECA transactions in the Asia Pacific Region. Ensure that UniCredit offers competitive and compliant products and services at adequate pricing and that risks resulting from ECA products are managed and mitigated to maximize returns and customer satisfaction. The position will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Head of Structured Trade and Export Finance, Asia Pacific.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Originate, structure and execute ECA transactions related to core or target clients of UniCredit and Export Agencies including Asian ones such as JIBIC, NEXI, K-Sure, KEXIM in coordination with relationship managers in UniCredit Group and the global Export Finance team in the Group
  • Develop and maintain relationship with key clients, partner banks and competitors, exporters from Europe and Export Agencies, particularly their representatives located in the Asia Pacific Region, and other key players in the export finance market (e.g. Commercial risk insurers, Multilateral Institutions)
  • Arrange deal teams and act as deal captain leading innovative, fee-increasing structuring of complex Export Finance transactions and coordinate all relevant risk assessments as required in Export Finance transactions
  • Prepare and present credit applications to the relevant risk management and approval authorities
  • Regular/adhoc reporting of business activities, pipelines to management etc
  • Take on ad-hoc projects related to the further development of the strategy for Structured Trade Export Finance Asia Pacific
  • Manage day to day matters relating to the existing portfolio together with assigned RMs including waivers, etc
  • Contribute and achieve the financial, operational and other targets agreed with Management for the business unit of Structured Trade Export Finance Asia Pacific


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in Structured Trade Export Finance (highly desirable), Corporate, Asset-based and / or Project Finance
  • Korean coverage with Kexim / Ksure transaction deal lead experience a core requirement of the job
  • Proven success in structuring, arranging and closing cross-border, ECA supported project- and structured finance transactions including legal documentation
  • Outstanding Export Finance product know-how and network with ECAs, exporters, importers, PRIs, funding institutions and other market participants such as banks, lawyers, etc
  • Strong relationship management skills, credit/risk assessment skills and LMA-loan documentation knowledge gained through completion of complex projects
  • Strong international work experience in developed and emerging market. High level of sensitivity to different cultures and backgrounds.  Job profile requires international travelling and enjoys marketing
  • University degree (law, business administration, economics) or education of similar scope and quality
  • Proficiency in English (a second Asian language would be desirable)
  • Good team player, proactive in solving issues/offering solutions and strong in communication skills
