Job Description
The Job:
- Provide support to Merchandising team on daily operations
- Handle development process, sampling and lab-dip test follow up
- Responsible for purchase orders, quotations and delivery notes preparation
- Work closely with vendors, suppliers and US PD teams to achieve sourcing and production requirements; activities include coordinating activities in sample and product development, costing package coordination, preliminary screening, preparation of POs, order tracking, etc
- Monitor order activities and work closely with factory personnel to track production progress and performance, identify issues, propose solutions to meet quantity, quality, product specifications and on-time-delivery requirements
- Maintain, build and develop strong relationship with vendors and factories
- Perform ad-hoc assignements when required
The Person:
- University graduates with at least 1 year of relevant experience; or completion of Form 5 or above with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience in hardline products manufacturing, especially in backpacks and belts
- Knowledge of US retail market and prior work experience in MNC preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; a good team player
- Detail-oriented, good problem solving and decision making skills. Ability to work under high work pressure
- Ability to work with people of diverse cultural background
- Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Chinese Word Processing
- Be available for business travel (over 25%)
- Immediate available is preferred
