Job Description
The role is responsible for defining and delivering a holistic product strategy that combines deep understanding of consumer, competition and market landscape in Hong Kong. This role will work closely with local, regional and global team to deliver brand-new media product experience and turn it into users’ daily habit.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and understand users’ need & competition landscape through research and data mining
- Collect market feedback and translate customer insights into product requirements
- Manage product roll-out end-to-end from building business case, planning, product positioning, development, bucket test, launch to performance review
- Define business goals and drive results by coordinating with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, Editorial, Sales and Marketing
- Prioritize many competing alternatives and requests, balance customer needs (both internal and external) with business priorities, and articulate rationale behind decisions
- Build thoughtful product strategy based on data and market intelligence
- Define product success metrics and track product performance
- Develop metrics forecast yearly and conduct periodic review
- Identify new product opportunities and develop persuasive business case to management team
- Share insights & recommendation with teams and senior leadership
Requirements:
- Six to eight years of experience in developing and managing mobile and/ or internet products
- Strong track record of success in driving consumers to adopt mobile and/ or web product experience
- Strong analytical skills and passion for interpreting and translating quantitative and qualitative feedbacks into consumer insights
- Able to understand and interpret a complex competitive landscape and effectively prioritize projects to achieve the greatest business results
- Able to work independently, plan strategically, express ideas articulately and learn quickly
- Excellent project management skills and strong attention to details
- Track record of influencing people and process outside immediate work group
- Capable of interacting across functions/countries at all levels in an organisation
- Superior organization and time management skills to execute complex projects with tight deadlines
- Comfortable working in an environment that is constantly changing, with the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks to keep pace with a fast and innovative market
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin; good communication skills on both writing and speaking
- BA/BS required, MBA preferred
