Job Description

Flight Operations at Dragonair (KA) is currently looking for a motivated individual with great interpersonal and organizational skills to assume the role of Flight Publications Supervisor.  Appointee will be responsible to supervise the Flight Deck Services & Flight Library (FDS & FL) Team while controlling the quality of manuals/documents/revisions to be uplifted for flight operations and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Assistant Manager Operational Services (Flight Publications) to design and implement the policy and procedures of the FDS & FL team
  • Act as a link between two or more inter-departments for the provision of quality flight deck library & simulators update services at CX Flight Training Centre
  • Maintain an effective communication with inter-departments on the issue of navigation charts for Operations,    ensure they are aware of all critical aerodrome changes which require carrying out a special flight deck update procedures
  • Supervise and monitor the performance standard of the Flight Deck Services Unit on providing the update of flight deck libraries & simulators as laid down on the Service Level Agreement. Provide training to staff on updating KA Flight Operations Department Manuals
  • Monitor and examine the defect reported from the cockpit crew
  • Manage the daily operations of the KA Operations Library including the provision of quality manuals lending services and flight deck library for new aircraft delivery and ferry flight operations after routine maintenance check at outport
  • Conduct induction briefing to new joining cockpit crew
  • Assist in flight deck library update as required
  • Assist in ad-hoc project as assigned

Requirements:

  • Form 7 graduate (or equivalent qualifications) with passes in English and Chinese
  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience ideally in flight deck services with minimum of 2 years in supervisory level
  • Sound leadership, planning and organizational skills with proactive, tactful and result-oriented personality
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; committed team player
  • Strong PC knowledge; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

The successful candidate will be employed by Cathay Pacific and be seconded to Dragonair.
