Job Description
We are now looking for a Compliance Officer – Asia of Isola Group – Hong Kong office. This position is responsible for providing support to the Executive Director, Compliance – Asia by performing duties to ensure compliance with the relevant legal and regulatory requirements as well as internal policies and procedures.
I. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Internal Control and Regulatory Compliance
Assist the Executive Director, Compliance – Asia to conduct internal control and business process review. He/ she should understand the business processes and follow up on identified risks and recommendations.
Perform review to ensure Sarbanes Oxley compliance and other control compliance
Coordinate with other departments on the operational compliance issues and support the Executive Director, Compliance – Asia in the development of remediation actions
Responsible to collect the monthly checklist and questionnaire from Asian sites, follow on the guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance for the various operational functions
Participate in ad hoc projects when required
Customer and Vendor Document Review
Assist in the review of customer and vendor agreements per user department requests
Work with user departments to ensure terms and conditions in agreements meet contractual obligations while minimizing risk exposure
Update document depository with most updated customer and vendor agreements, declarations, self-assessment reports, etc
II. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Occasional travel around the region
Meticulous, attentive to details, keen to learn, self-motivated and result-oriented
- Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
- Good knowledge in computer applications and data management
III. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Degree holder in Accounting, Business or Law or related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years’ working experience preferred from compliance or internal control area
- Excellent command in both spoken and written English, Chinese, and Mandarin
IV. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working days: 5 days a week in HK Office
Working hour: 8:45am - 5:15pm
