Responsibilities:

• Responsible for gathering and translating business requirements into queries, models and tools to allow for insightful data analysis and forecasting
• Work closely with Research Analysts to develop and interpret reports in the proper context, create complex data queries, and develop ad-hoc queries to augment/pilot new applications

 Requirements:

• Must have at least 3 years experience as a developer and possess technical skills in SQL programming, object-oriented design and development, as well as script writing, batch processing, and report generation
• Experience with data mining and back-testing would be an advantage
• Experience with solution design, real-time applications and products in the financial sector would be an advantage
• Familiarity with data feeds provided by major vendors is required (Reuters, Bloomberg) and preferably the ways to monitor incoming data/integrate/map/store data from various sources into single repository.
• Strong hands-on technical experience with SQL, Java, VBA, & Unix/Linux platform
• Familiar with statistical software programming, such as Mathlab and R would be an advantage
