Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, proof-read communication materials
  • Advise and recommend English materials for sign off at management level
  • Plan and implement publications and on-line communications projects
  • Support other communication duties as agreed in the year plan
  • Visit programme site and collect story if necessary
  • Plan and develop agency collaterals, develop and maintain various agency communications guidelines

Requirements:

  • Degree holder with at least 5 years’ relevant working experience in English editing
  • Solid knowledge and experience as a journalist or news editor
  • Excellent writing skills in English, and good translation ability
  • Proficiency in Chinese language
  • Strong network of media in Hong Kong, Mainland China and the region is a definite advantage
  • Excellent project management skill and solid experience in publications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and is able to work under pressure with tight timeline
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Office and Chinese word processing
  • Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is highly desirable

Candidate with less experience may be considered as Assistant Communications Officer
