Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for financial planning (budgeting, forecasting etc.) and analyses on Advertising Revenues and Operation (Production & Distribution) Costs.  This includes scenario modeling.
  • Prepare and present monthly variance analyses, weekly advertising booking reports, ad hoc reports, and provide insightful recommendations for the business lines.
  • Work closely with the business heads on monthly forecasts, market trends, monitoring and evaluating business performance.
  • Co-ordinate with counterparts in head office and seek synergy opportunities with the US Financial Planning and Analysis team on reporting and modeling.
  • Review month-end results and work closely with the Financial Accounting team to improve efficiencies in monthly process /resolve any booking issues.
  • Develop model for monthly / quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting, linking up with Circulation on volume assumptions.  Provide financial modeling and commercial support to the Operations team on contract bidding process in choosing the best suppliers in the region.
  • Build up Advertising Forecasting model and gain understanding with the US Financial Planning and Analysis team on Advertising Pacing Model.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration, and member of an international accounting association.
  • 3 years’ experience in multi-national companies preferred, with at least 2 years hands-on working experience in Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Experience in media or subscription business preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with colleagues from different seniority levels.
  • Good presentation skills, strong analytical mind and problem solving techniques.
  • PeopleSoft and TM1 knowledge and experiences strongly preferred.
  • Fluent English required, Cantonese/Mandarin an advantage.
  • Excellent skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
