JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and update development sample spreadsheets daily
• Responsible for monitoring customer development samples withGuangzhousample room
• Visit fabric markets to source new fabrics for customers
• Checking development samples before sending to customers
• Placing orders with suppliers and sending PI to customer
• Ensure all correct labeling and packing information relevant to each customer is passed to suppliers
• Communicate client’s testing and auditing requirements to the suppliers
• Approving bulk materials for final production
• Monitor factory production critical path to ensure they meet shipping deadlines
• Follow up with responsible QC regarding quality inspection at the factories
• Check final production samples prior to shipment

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be fluent in spoken & written English and Afrikaans, Cantonese / Mandarin
• Travel toSouth AfricaandUKfrequently to service our major clients
• Must have firsthand knowledge ofAfricaand international markets / trends with 5 years experience working in various divisions ofSouth Africa,Africaand international retail sector
• Proven track record in similar position would be an advantage
• Good technical knowledge of handbag materials, fabrics, construction and quality control
• The ability to be able to work independently and also work well as team
• Good admin skills for tracking & follow-up of important issues
• Good communication skills & pleasant personality
• Mature, responsible, detail minded, very well organized and self-motivated
• Career-minded with an interest in fashion and design
• Good PC knowledge
