The Job:

As a team member in the Broadcast Engineering Department, you will be involved in the day-to-day broadcast operations and engineering activities in supporting over 200 TV channels, video broadcasting in various platforms (High Definition, 3G mobile, fixed line, internet), and you will be handling the latest HDTV equipment in our studios and post-production facilities. You are required to:

• Provide front line support on broadcast operations, such as transmission signal path preparation and system failover on emergency
• Carry out routine equipment and system maintenance
• Provide Project & Development support, such as preparation for schematic drawing, system integration, equipment installation, equipment sourcing and testing

The Person:

• Degree or diploma holder in Broadcast Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ working experience in TV or Broadcast Industry
• Knowledge of digital and analog SD/HD audio/video technologies and be able to troubleshoot and repair system problems and equipment down to the component level if necessary
• Knowledge of computers, video/audio servers, and networking is a primary requirement
• Ability to perform system schematic drawing by using AutoCAD is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Strong communication skills, able to work under high pressure and cope with the fast changing business requirements
• A proven ability to devise solution for on–air emergencies
• Shift duty including overnight shift is required
• Candidate with less experience will be considered for Assistant Broadcast Engineer
