Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for providing leadership, organization and coordination to support PMO’s key activities, encompassing project planning, governance including risk assessment/mitigation and project management. The managers and business analysts ensure all projects administered by the PMO adhere to the best practices and standards for program and project management.
  • To lead IT team and work with his/her supervisor to manage different types of projects in accordance with the strategies and tactics laid down by IT Management, alerting both Management and stakeholders of any project issues and/or risks that may need to be mitigated during the course of the projects.
  • Project Managers and Business Analysts are excellent communicators and guide project stakeholders in defining project scope and ensuring the effective utilization of resources, meeting project milestones and deployment timelines.
  • To perform all duties in accordance with SJM approved policies and within the realm of the SJM vision, mission and values.

Job Requirements:

  • College Degree holder in Computer Science, Business or Information Technology related fields a minimum. Any Business Related or Technology Related certifications a plus.
  • For Project Manager and Business Analyst, require minimum 7 years in IT business analysis and/or system development with demonstrating at least 3 years experience of project management in a supervisory / managerial role.
  • Knowledge in casino or banking operations, associated business processes, exposure and good understanding of Operations Support Systems in a large casino or bank is desirable. Possess experience in related industry and IT process development with awareness of compliance issues. Strong and wide knowledge in PMI project management standards and terminologies with PMP and/or HKITPC Certificate is a plus.
  • Able to work with business users and his/her supervisor to develop and manage master plan for all projects including assigned resources, ‎outputs and timelines.
  • Identify and manage critical risks, issues, and changes and ensure timely resolution to avoid negative ‎impacts on the projects.
  • Manage projects to be completed on time within budget and reduce the risk of projects and improve the quality of projects started and completed.
  • Lead work teams consisting of members from different groups in the IT and user Departments effectively to support the implementation of system projects and maintain awareness of program status and monitor progress across multiple projects
  • Handle and report any unsolved issues to management in a timely manner. Coordinate the resolution of cross-project issues and interdependencies. Perform vendor management effectively achieving expected result from vendor.
  • Ensure Effective Coordination and Communication, such as providing standard templates and tools to all projects to ensure consistent reporting of project progress status and to ‎facilitate decision making.
  • Able to work with his/her supervisor to fulfill and achieve PMO’s role and responsibilities.
