Background

• Due to rapid business growth and widening of risks appetite,  we are looking for designated underwriting professionals specializing in different lines of business

The Job

• Accountable for the development and monitoring of  business plan and strategies to achieve profitable growth
• Initiate and explore new business development opportunities/potential as well as maintain renewal retentions in order to meet premium targets
• Develop and maintain close partnerships with insurance intermediaries for sustainability and expansion of business portfolios
• Prepare Underwriting guidelines and design pricing models to strengthen the control of underwriting function
• Review large/complex cases and deliver sound underwriting decision

The Person

• Minimum 7 years relevant  underwriting experience  in General Insurance industry, with expertise in either Casualty (specialized in Employees’ Compensation Insurance), Marine or Property
• University graduate or holders of professional qualification in general insurance such as ACII / ANZIIF
• Excellent technical knowledge and analytical skills
• Good negotiation and influencing skills
• Extensive network and relationship with insurance intermediaries 
• Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
