The incumbent is to work closely with attorneys/legal partners for monitoring legal collections and assist in developing recovery strategies and processes in a fast-paced environment. Adhering to laws and regulations, the Specialist has to maintain a courteous and professional attitude towards all customers, debtors and attorney partners.  

Responsibilities:

1) Legal Collection

• Manage and work closely with attorney partners, both overseas and local, to handle the legal files assigned by our clients, with the objectives to recover the debt by court actions on behalf of our clients
• Monitor the assigned cases, which include undertake complex reconciliations, prepare suits, bankruptcy verifications, organize, arrange and mail documents to attorneys.
• Resolve complex customer inquiries between customers and debtors/attorney on complicated disputes and to monitor the whole legal process to ensure all deadlines are met, while strictly adhering to policies as well as local law and the respective status of limitations.  
• Responsible to work in liaison with the customer relationship and management teams to achieve assigned revenue objectives

 2) Third Party Collection 

• Communicate and discuss with debtors and collection agents for the delinquent accounts on behalf of our clients
• Negotiate repayment of accounts balances via payoffs, settlements, and payment plans
• Provide information, sets up payments and follow up payment plans to assure settlement of accounts
• Assists in projects on Ad-hoc basis

 Job Requirements:  

• Undergraduate education required; preferably in business or legal studies
• One to two years of previous legal collection or third party collection experience required
• Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work in a team environment and be able to resolve issues independently and accurately
• Excellent command of spoken and written English a MUST; proficiency in speaking Mandarin a definite advantage
• High Proficiency in Microsoft office – Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Candidate with less experience or qualification will be considered as Legal Collection Coordinator
