This is an open position within VIVAVO (HK), a subsidiary of VIVAVO Inc.
Responsible for providing subject matter expertise to assist the Sales team in the development of advance arrangements and procedures that ensure the customers can respond to a disaster by mean of IT. Ensure that the critical business applications can be resumed within a defined time frame and the amount of loss can be minimized. This responsibility includes coordinating the design, development, maintenance, and exercising (testing) of disaster recovery plans for each critical functional area of the client’s organization.
Major Duties :
- Work with Sales team to create, monitor and maintain disaster recovery plan documentation for each critical application, platform, or network system. This includes using DR planning software and maintaining hard copies at designated recovery locations
- Responsible for participating in any actual disaster recovery effort as a disaster recovery team member
- Plan, prepare, coordinate and actively participate in DR testing exercises with other DR analysts in order to assure that recovery procedures are effective for key corporate applications
- Create post-test reporting - Assist with analysis of infrastructure architecture to identify points of vulnerability as it relates to disaster recovery with the goal of mitigating single points of failure, meeting recovery time objectives, and completing miscellaneous IT work plan tasks related to DR
- Provide SME DR support to the corporate Business Continuity Planner
- Work with vendors of Disaster Recovery services and facilities
- Study and recommend outside services for use during a disaster situation as needed
- Perform DR Maintenance functions such as database upkeep
- Conduct DR awareness and training sessions as requested
- Maintain contact with outside contingency planning professional organizations
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) or Associate Disaster Recovery Planner (ACP) accreditation a plus
- Working knowledge of IT general processes in order to assist in the preparation of disaster recovery procedures and plans
- Knowledge and understanding of current Disaster Recovery planning techniques and technologies
- Strong human relations skills to interface with application analyst and technical analyst teams and staff at all levels within the organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
