Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Delivers user account management, network configuration, routine maintenance, workstation and peripherals configuration and management, troubleshooting, training, support for Linux and Windows server operating systems, database engines
- Handles software and hardware upgrades and updates; writes scripts to monitor and automate processes in supported environments; provides recommendations on methods to improve and update existing systems
- Implements data security and systems recovery policies; monitors all systems
- Designs, builds and supports areas of Web Hosting infrastructure, including multitiered load balanced web hosting environments and CDNs
- Provides verbal and written instructions for quick issue resolution; provides remote systems installations and configurations; collects and review systems data for capacity and planning purposes
- Works with the Web Solutions teams to deliver adequate development and production hosting/collocation infrastructure for online projects
- Collaborates with internal teams

The required skills include:
- Proficient in designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems including LANs/WANs/VPNs/Firewalls
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows server platform. IIS 7.5/8.0, MSSQL 2008/2012, Exchange, Active Directory, Virtualization Hyper-V VDI
- Proficient in shell scripting (PowerShell, VbScript, command batch, BASH, perl)
- Solid experience with website mirroring and migration
- Solid experience with data protection, backup, network cabling
- Hand on experience with collocation environment;
- Hand on experience with web hosting including cloud, hybrid, VPS, dedicated
- Hand on experience with SAN/NAS, NLB & Failover configurations
- Strong knowledge of Linux platform. Web servers (Apache, Tomcat), MySQL, mail server
- Strong knowledge of multitier environments; global CDNs
- Strong knowledge of security concepts, principles and practices, including fundamental knowledge of OSI model and intrusion detection
- Basic understanding of Web Analytics and tracking systems (Google Analytics, Web Server Logs, Webmaster Tools, site schemas)
- Track record of building and managing small to midsized consumer facing web hosting environments
- Knowledge in .Net, Java Scripts, Ajax, PHP programming
- Knowledge in open source projects is definitely a plus
Education & Certifications
- A Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent; 4+ years of relevant work experience is required
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) and/or Redhat Certified Technician (RHCT) certifications are strongly desired
