We are currently helping our Client in searching for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the following position:

Costing Manager 

(Based in Chonghua, Guangzhou (廣州重化)

Our Client: Our Client is a U.S. based manufacturer, and a leading global provider of complex multi-layer Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).

Roles:

• Supporting the Plant Financial Controller in driving plant’s cost competitiveness via setting up accurate costing methodology, driving cost control and providing value added analysis.
• Leading the Costing Team in managing standard costing process, inventory closing and reporting process
• Reviewing product costing methodology and processes covering material, labor and overhead and periodically validate product cost accuracy.
• Providing critical analysis on manufacturing variances. Reviewing with plant management and exploiting opportunities to improve manufacturing cost competitiveness.
• Reviewing and monitoring inventory process to ensure inventory transactions are properly recorded.
• Ensuring the current inventory balances are properly analyzed, reconciled, aged and managed throughout the month.
• Leading annual or semi-annual physical count exercise and report results.
• Assisting in developing inventory related process and procedures
• Preparing month end inventory closing and reporting.
• Submitting standard costs and costing reports to the Management and US Corporate.
• Reviewing and strengthening the internal cost for SOX compliance.
• Handling ad hoc analysis and projects.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Accountant and Degree in Finance or Accounting, US GAAP is preferable
• Over 6 years’ relevant experience in Big 4 CPA firm or MNC in the electronics manufacturing industry.
• Experience in Management Accounting and working exposure in PRC will be a definite advantage. (Priority will be given to those who are currently residing in Guangzhou or a local Guangzhou candidate).
• Good command of both spoken and written English (CET 6 and above), Mandarin and Cantonese.
• Willing to stationed in PRC
• Immediate available is highly preferred.

Remuneration:

Local employment terms will be offered - Compensation will be set at a level appropriate to the background, current position and current compensation of the successful candidate.
