Job Description

To manage the “Children Affected by Disability Assistance” (CADA) project and there are three project offices which located at Hubei, Gansu and Shaanxi. To provide overall leadership and management for programs, and to be responsible for the overall realization of program effectiveness, efficiency and accountability. Through the development process among children, families and communities, to overcome the obstacles that prevent them from living life in all its fullness; ensures that the process of positive change continues long after World Vision has left.

Responsibilities:

  • Program management: lead the project team to implement activities according to design, annual plan, which also are in line with development principles and policies
  • Team management: manage the project team with good morale, passion and high efficiency. Successors / future leaders are expected to be developed in the long-run
  • Finance management: ensure the project is running with appropriate utilization of funding resource and good accountability
  • Sponsors relationship: lead the team to ensure that sponsors relation standards are followed and donors are satisfied
  • Relations and networking: ensure a working relationship that eventually leads to transforming among the counterparts and stakeholders

 

Requirements:

  • Degree/Master holder, major in development
  • At least 4 years’ work experience is required for the position of Program Officer; work experience in project management is preferable.
  • Experience in managing and supervising staff
  • Mature with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Committed to serve the underprivileged
  • Able to work independently in challenging physical environment
  • Fluent in written and spoken Chinese (Putonghua) and English
  • Competent in Chinese Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of the China context
  • Station or frequent travelling to Mainland China is needed
