Responsibilities:

Contract to a government department to participate in the development and implementation of the school places allocation and placement sub-systems, including:

• Assist in analysing the allocation systems and student information system regarding the business workflows, operation and program logics of batch and online functions and database structure;
• Assist in compiling, revising and consolidating user requirements based on views/comments from various parties and in confirming the relevant system designs from business perspective;             
• Liaise with various parties and give comments on workflow (clerical and computer procedures), system analysis and design report and program/function specification;
• Assist in leading a small team for preparing test data; developing test cases and conducting user acceptance tests to ensure high level of accuracy of the new system;
• Verify the correctness of data converted to the new system;
• Conduct simulation tests, including real time parallel run, for result comparison and confirmation of error-free redevelopment;
• Monitor the progress of various phases of system testing;
• Prepare and maintain user manual;
• Collaborate with the technical team and coordinate user activities;
• Assist in reviewing and accepting project deliverables; and
• Monitor the performance of his assistants.

Requirements:

• Degree/Higher Diploma holder in Computer Science or equivalent;
• Minimum 3 years IT work experience;
• Experience in IT application system development and maintenance;
• Experience in the control and operation of computer systems such as Windows and UNIX preferable;
• Experience in leading a small team for conducting software testing preferable;
• Experience in HTML and SQL.
