Responsibilities:

Contract to a government department to perform project management and implementation of new IT systems and maintenance of existing IT systems.

• Provide managerial support and supervise a team of IT staff for the implementation of new IT systems and maintenance of existing IT systems;
• Plan and monitor all phases of computer project, including system analysis and design, program development, testing and implementation, system nursing and maintenance; and
• Evaluate and select appropriate computer products for the development and maintenance of IT systems.

Requirements:

• Degree/Higher Diploma holder in Computer Science or equivalent;
• Minimum 8 years of IT working experience;
• Minimum 2 years experience as Project Manager or similar capacity;
• Experience in the whole system development life cycle of implementation of IT system and conversant with the PMP, SSADM, FPA methodologies and UNIX-based system; and
• Experience in the support of mission critical IT systems is an advantage.
