Requirements:

A) Associate member of one of the following professional institutions with at least one year working experience:

1. The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (Building Surveying Division);
2. The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Building Surveying Division);
3. The Hong Kong Institute of Architects;
4. The Royal Institution of British Architects;
5. The Institute of Civil Engineers;
6. The Institution of Structural Engineers;
7. The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Civil, Structural, Gertechnical Disciplines)
8. The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Building Services, Electrical and Mechanical Disciplines)
9. An overseas engineering institution (Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Disciplines) which has signed agreements for the mutual recognition of qualifications with the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

OR

B) being an Associate Member of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers or The Chartered Institution of Building or equivalent, or in possession of a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Studies / Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic university / polytechnic, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) or a technical institute / technical college and with minimum of five years' post qualification experience.
