Responsibilities

The role will encompass handling claims in marine hull, cargo, marine liabilities and P&I/Charterer's for our direct, wholesale and insurer clients across Asia and Europe.

You will often be the first point of contact as soon as our clients have an incident so you will have a strong background in the marine industry generally, handling claims in any of the above classes.

Working with our Claims Director, you will be responsible for handling claims from the first advice through to settlement.  The role is pivotal to our client servicing, so you will also work closely with our placing brokers providing loss statistics and claims details, as well as the finance team, client support and the insurance market to ensure each claim is settled according to our high expectations.

The role will also involve providing technical claims support to the claims team, as well as constantly improving systems, reporting procedures and communicating across the business.

Profile

- 7-10 years' experience in the marine or insurance industry, predominantly handling claims

- Detail oriented and analytical

- Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin

- Responding to clients outside of office hours and international travel will be required occasionally
