Reporting to the Senior Regional Manager of IT & Logistics, the focus of this role is to manage the supply chain flow from the Asian sourcing markets to our destinations markets in EU and North America.  You will coordinate shipments to our international clients, liaising with vendor, freight forwarders and your counterparts in destination markets to optimize the global logistic efficiencies.

Job Responsibilities

• Continuous development of the “day to day” operation, improving and streamlining current working practices to increase efficiency and service levels and in case of exceptions, provide resolution and instruction to staff immediately
• Enhancement of logistics infrastructure, system & processes for orders management by reengineering the process flow and/or application technology
• Proactively identifying and implementing process improvement strategy aiming at total operations improvement
• Providing support the merchandise teams in KGS in working with Vendors to gain supply chain benefits, focusing on driving efficiencies through correct phasing of product, origin storage, product flow, reduction in “land side” costs etc.
• Responsible for the daily operations and supervision of Shipping department relating to cargo movement, import/ export documentation, sample dispatch, quota control. Invoice processing & shipping claims
• Leading ad hoc operation (e.g. new project start up) and compliance projects and providing supervision on compliance documentation
• Ensuring proper claim policy and procedure is enforces
• Ensuring the KPIs agreed are achieved and be the leading role in meeting with customer for regular reviews
• Implement the setup for new clients to ensure a smooth integration with system of the new clients
• Strategic planning for our shipping role to transit from Buying House Model to Agency Model
• Study the feasibility of implementing various logistics added value services for the Brands such as scan & pack, origin storage and etc.
• Working with the KGS import department and the third party logistics provider to ensure agreed standards are met, and processes and procedures are developed, implemented and maintained
• Provide input to assist the Regional Financial Controller on the preparation of annual budgets for Logistics operation
• Control and monitor the expense budget for Logistics operation
• Training the KGS Merchandising Teams on Supply Chain principles
• Conducting orientation and workshop to new staff and new suppliers on logistics requirements and factory audit

Requirement

• Degree holder in related discipline.
• min 8 - 12 years of regional logistic experience at supervisory level with a major Buying House, knowledge in garment industry is highly preferable.
• With strong knowledge and exposure of Logistics support & service to China Trade
• Strong leadership, communication skills and sense of responsibility.
• Fluent in written and spoken English & Mandarin.
