Job Description

PURPOSE:

  • This role serves as a strong collaborator working between customers, business unit members and technical teams; creates and translates concepts, maintenance priorities, customer imperatives and business requirements into product/feature requirements; aligning initiatives to strategy and budget mechanisms.
  • They act as the Single Point of Contact for product solutions of HK business related matters. Provide a bridge of communication to keep internal clients, stakeholders and team members on the same plane of comprehension regarding project & operational issues collaborations, status, progress, problems, risks and many details along the way.
  • Work with business units to identity and estimate product development in terms of collaborations, cost, resolutions and risks from product perspective.   Monitor and track status reporting, issue resolutions & escalation, risk management to HK management team
  • Understand and stay current of customer’s needs and pain points with resolutions and product analytics in terms of usability area
  • Maintain and handle local online and international products daily operations and accountabilities as noted below.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Include and not limited to the followings

Product Management:

  • Defining product concept and demo to business units in user perspective
  • Delivering specification documents, LOE requests to global teams for development base on local business product request queue
  • Submitting new source & package of HK products based on content development requests. Contextual understanding on LexisNexis contents in menu/packages and sources, which are arranged in a complex hierarchy. A clear mindset and understand is required on these relationships to ensure successful package/source creation and maintenance
  • Collaborate and negotiate content and product requirements with different teams for cost, timeline and resolution. Drive product/content delivery timely with quality
  • Quality acceptance check to all deliverables by product & content streams, maintain measurable acceptance quality levels
  • Assisting Content Engineering projects when required

Product Maintenance Management:

  • Track issues and coordinate between parties for:
  1. local business product/content issue queue;
  2. liaise with GTO on product webstars/service now;
  3. liaise with GTO India team on content issues;
  4. liaise with GTO India and HK editorial product analyst on content updates
  • Update project reports and logs
  • Maintaining operational data house-keeping
  • Following, review and propose enhancement to existing procedures
  • Provide analytic data and retrieve usage data
  • Conduct regular customer visits with sales & business team to stay current of customers’ needs and pain point of using our products


Trouble-shooting:

  • Troubleshooting issues of account creation level: WEbspec/RAT, Bookmaster (Rosetta section)
  • Proactively identify and correct customer issues
  • Escalate issues if not solved at local level.

KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge & Experience: 

  • Hands on web product experience (minimum 2 years),
  • Strong collaboration experience working with customers, business & technical teams
  • Experience in creating wireframes to convey product User Experience desired
  • Experience in bug tracking and resolution for web issues
  • Budget experience, able to manage and create complex excel formulas as needed to track costs and usage

Competencies:

  • Tertiary Education in Computer Studies or related subject
  • Strong ability to drive project delivery timely with quality, especially for those projects contributed by multiple teams which require effective coordination and communication
  • Experience on web development and networking troubleshooting
  • Good logical, analytical and lateral thinking.
  • A demonstrable understanding of user experience design
  • Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing with internal stakeholders and business team
  • Proficient in written English and Traditional Chinese. Oral in English and Cantonese. Written in Traditional Chinese and Oral in Mandarin is an advantage.

  • Effectiveness of communication to management, GTO team, internal and external customers
  • Effectiveness of customer project delivery
  • Effectiveness of customer issue handling
