Main Activities and Responsibilities

Media Relations and Campaigns:

• Managing day-to-day relationship with clients independently or under Account Director’s direction
• Supporting the senior team by securing coverage and proactively pitching stories to press
• Responding quickly and accurately to media enquiries and requests for press material
• Organising and managing press views and conferences, photocalls and press trips
• Sourcing images and clearing permission for their use in editorial, ensuring accurate credit and captioning information appears.
• Drafting press releases and other press information documents and managing the approval process that follows efficiently
• Managing available budgets and resources (including manpower) to deliver projects
• Managing filming requests and supervising film crews and photographers
• Providing de-brief and press cutting reports and if applicable AVE reports
• Devising and managing press campaigns independently, overseen by the senior team
• Liaising with the client in face-to-face meetings or over the phone and email
• Taking responsibility for own time management, ensuring projects are delivered on time
• Taking responsibility for the project and proactively updating senior team accordingly
• Coordinating media campaigns to keep stakeholders/ other team members informed and ensuring messaging is consistent
• Drafting digital media strategy documents for the client and feeding into client’s new business proposals
• Coordinates digital media campaigns to keep stakeholders / other PRs informed and ensures messaging is consistent
• Developing digital media strategy for clients, in particular conversion strategy, building audiences and communities and driving traffic to client programmes
• Explaining marketing strategy to client in simple terms and demonstrate rationale backed up by examples, testing and metrics
• Developing and auctioning digital campaign plans, within budget and with agreed targets
• Advising on developing content for digital platforms

Other administrative tasks and duties including:

• Managing junior team’s time as required
• Coordinating cross-company pitches to key target journalists
• Drafting and signing off listings information
• Other duties as directed and fitting for this position
• Deputising for the Account Director as necessary
• Ensures standards are adhered to and improves office systems
• Deputies for Account Director as required
• Ensures website is updated with new clients
• Establish and manage Sutton PR Asia social media feeds
• Be an advocate for the Company in Social Media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
• Liaise with Sutton PR about their social media feeds
