Responsibilities:

• Responsible of seasonal development and fabric sourcing requests, ensuring that they are developed with visual and technical integrity.
• Manage and drive the calendar of fabric sourcing and development to ensure seasonal fabric adoption on time deliver.
• Responsible to get Fabric Details Sheet from suppliers and fabric price negotiations.
• Coordinate and follow up test report approval and resolve any fabric issues with Technical Team.
• Work closely with the NY and SH Offices on fabric development and sourcing status and issues.
• Maintain good filing and record system.

Requirements:

• 6 years’ experience working in the fabric field, preferably a trading/buying office or brand
• Experience working with woman’s fashion or designer brands
• Good fashion sense and sensitive to fabric trends
• Experience in both premium woven and knit fabrics. Experience in bags is an advantage but not necessary.
• Strong fabric development and sourcing experience
• Able to anticipate material or fabric performance issues and resolve problem independently in advance with suppliers
• Proactive, detail oriented and with good problem solving skills
• Ability to work to critical calendar dates
• Fluent English and Cantonese
