The position is responsible for establishing the creative direction, usability requirements and design quality guidelines for all content projects as it relates to Jazwares, LLC. The projects include websites, microsite, animations, and digital projects (including the development of the Jazwares YouTube Channel and Jazwares Corporate Website). Working with the project manager, the web designer builds media templates required for the content projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for designing responsive websites as well as style guide development
• Effectively translate the ideas and goals of the various projects into unique and functional design
• Make sure that the design relates to the messaging and strategy of the brands (using brand guidelines and assets)
• Identify, develop and document front end design standards and requirements for all design
• Review existing user interfaces and suggest improvements
• Ensure that the design standards are met for all projects prior to implementation
• Present design concept and artwork to the business stakeholder
• Investigate, review and recommend emerging technologies and tools as it relates to digital and animation

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  

• Degree in graphic design, interactive multi-digital media or web design

Years of Related Experience:

• 5 years related experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Strong portfolio demonstrating your past success in designing web sites and/or web applications
• Mobile design experience
• Solid understanding of current web platform, interaction design, and usability principles
• Extensive knowledge of UI/UX design, wire framing, GUI (screen layout and composition) and style guide implementation
• Experience in developing web sites and/or web applications using HTML/CSS/Javascript, and other emerging web technologies
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Passionate about children’s toy and animations
• Must be a self-starter who is comfortable with productive changes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
• Some domestic and/or international travel required (meeting with agencies)
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non technical people
