Job Summary

SWIFT is offering consulting and training services to help ease the burden of adoption and implementation associated with SWIFT infrastructure and operation. In this context, the Consulting and Training, Asia Pacific team is hiring a Consultant to work hands-on with customers to implement SWIFT solutions and SWIFT products, and to provide training services.

Key responsibilities are to deliver end-to-end solution implementation including training, project management, business and technical analysis, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment and go live. Also, assisting the sales teams to prepare proposals and prototypes, in either standardized or customized formats.

In line with consulting and training services engagement, you will deliver chargeable services to the customers and will be involved with many different departments within an institution: operation, information technology, information security, technical infrastructure, networks, and any number of internal business units wishing to communicate using SWIFT. Working with partners and third parties to deliver a project in a prime contractor or subcontractor role.

Project management skills are key to facilitate projects to ensure all stakeholders in the projects are well informed, to track and monitor status of the projects, to ensure projects will complete as expected and planned.

Technical, program design and development skills are key to deliver complex technical and integration solutions to the customers and to resolve technical problems.

 

Your responsibilities will be to:

- Prepare standard sales packages (include ppts, proposals, agreements, FAQs, demos, ...) for the sales teams.

- Meet with customers to understand detailed level needs and requirements, prepare proposals, and make recommendations on best practice solutions.

- Liaise with partners who are working together to deliver technical implementations.

- Translate business and technical requirements into a Project Plan.

- Monitor, maintain and report to team, customers and project manager on the project status on a continuous basis and for the duration of the project. Work with sales team and project manager to ensure the project stays on track in terms of cost, schedule, quality, resources versus plans and take corrective actions if necessary. Review status of all regional projects on a regular basis and escalate all exceptions.

- Produce high quality design and software program documentations as deliverables, and be able to explain and train the customers and other parties.

- Perform technical implementation tasks: development and testing of integration solutions as well as installation and configuration of standard SWIFT’s products and services

- Maintain and develop knowledge of architecture/design technologies, integration and future industry trends. Overcome objections of a technical nature.

- In line with team objectives, support regional teams by defining processes, and transfer knowledge.

 

Do you have what it takes?

Education

- Bachelor degree in computer science or related field


Experience

- 5-7 years experience in software, solutions or systems development

- Experience in the financial services or related industry is an advantage

- Project management and planning experience


Professional knowledge and expertise

- Fluent in English and one other language for the Asia Pacific markets

- Experience with integration middleware and common messaging technologies. Proficiency with at least one EAI/ESB Suite is an advantage

- Java programming skills, conversant with modern integration techniques and technologies, especially Service Oriented Architectures, application server and Web services

- Knowledge of database integration

- Proven ability to contribute in a team environment and deliver under pressure

- Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills

- Customer orientation and commitment to quality

- Strong communication and presentation skills

- Knowledge of SWIFTNet, SWIFT's interface products, and SWIFT's messaging solutions

- Willing to travel
