Language Centre

The appointee is expected to (i) assist in the preparation of teaching materials including the recording, editing, conversion and duplication of audio and video clips; (ii) conduct maintenance of facilities and equipment in classrooms, computer laboratories, video conference room and offices including data migration, trouble-shooting, hardware and software testing and evaluating, installation of equipment, computer systems and software; (iii) provide frontline technical support to classes and colleagues of the Language Centre; (iv) provide technical support to functions and activities including equipment setup, photo taking and video recording; (v) assist in the update of inventory and loan records of equipment; and (vi) perform other duties as assigned by the Head of the Language Centre.

Applicants should possess a degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Studies or a relevant subject with at least two years of relevant post-qualification experience and at least one year of frontline technical support experience. Expertise in computer trouble-shooting and maintenance, software applications (such as Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver and Microsoft Office), photography, audio and video recording, setup, operation and maintenance of audio-visual equipment (such as audio amplifiers, audio mixers and projectors) is essential. Knowledge of networking, website design, server management and language learning management systems (such as XClass) will be an added advantage. A good command in Chinese and English is required. Candidates who are Diploma holders with substantial years of relevant work experience will also be considered.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a technical test and an interview.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Reference salary range: HK$17,400 - HK$27,900

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
