Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Global Supply Chain Specialist has 6 primary areas of responsibility: Supplier Management, Booking Management, Production Execution, Documentation Management (Direct Import), Shipment Management and Report/Data Analysis & System Update.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Business, Manufacturing or Supply Chain discipline (will consider extended experience in lieu of completed degree).

2. 5 years experience, to include:

• Direct interaction with Asian factories;
• Manufacturing Assessment (capabilities, material flows, bottlenecks, scheduling, etc.)
• Order & Shipment Management
• Shipping knowledge
  
  

3. Strong advantage to candidates with:

• Experience with Direct Import (DI) deliveries / documentation
• Experience in planning or managing production schedules in a factory
• Knowledge of Letter of Credit
  
  

4. SAP / ERP experience preferred
5. Excel skills is a must
6. Fluent English & Mandarin
7. Independent problem solver with self initiative
8. Able to work under time pressure & tight schedule
9.  International travelling is required
10.Detail oriented

Deliverables / Actions

In close collaboration with Regional Supply Chain, Sourcing and Product Development and Quality Assurance, the accountabilities of this position include:

1. Supplier Management

• Assist with supplier performance evaluations & improvement e.g. On time to Delivery
• Assist with supplier coaching e.g. Supplier on board training
  
  

2. Booking Management

• Follow up open Pos / shipment booking
• Review shipment booking (e.g. container utilization, cargo ready date)
• Work with Regional Supply Chain to approve shipment booking
  
  

3. Production Execution

• Understand existing supply plans to fulfill purchase order delivery date
• Work directly with ACCO product suppliers and different ACCO teams to detect problems that affect product supply
• Resolve problems that delay product supply through working with finished product suppliers and diverting related issues (e.g. quality issue, spec / design / color variance / sample approval, product & packaging issue, capacity issue, sample testing, raw material quality & functional failure, material availability & etc.) to the responsible teams such as Regional Supply Chain, Sourcing, Product Development, Product Compliance and Quality Assurance teams to develop corrective action plan.
• Direct interaction with factories to conduct production audit if needed
• Management of third party auditor to perform production audit if needed
  
  

4. Documentation Management (Direct Import)

• Collect related document from Sourcing team, Products compliance, Customer, Sales Support & etc.
• Prepare & distribute high volume Direct Import shipping document as per freight forwarder / customer requirement with tight schedule
• Follow up Forwarder Cargo Receipt
  
  

5. Shipment Management

• Follow up space issue with freight forwarder, Carriers & Global Supply Chain
• Work with Regional Supply Chain, Supplier, Freight forwarder to re-prioritize shipment
• Follow up shipping order confirmation with freight forwarder
  
  

6. Report/Data Analysis & System Update

• Report Update & Data Collection
• Perform good receipt in system
