Responsibilities:

• In this varied and interesting role you are responsible for the technical Product development of electrical products in close collaboration with Asian producers.
• You provide sound technical knowledge and understanding of materials, functionality, design and usability of electronic devices to secure the implementation of the defined specific purchase requirements and standards in direct contact with the local suppliers.
• You convey convincingly and consistently our Kaufland requirements to the manufacturer.
• You coordinate and control the production processes in the role of a technical advisor and supervisor, directing the development of product samples, the preparation of final reference samples, and the production release.
• You initiate measures to improve product quality, production standards of the pre-production to final inspection and assist our manufacturer during series production.
• You actively build, manage and evaluate our supplier portfolio in Asia.
• As a production engineer, you are in constant exchange with the quality management, the product management with its headquarters in Germany and the purchasing office on site.
• You work in a solution-orientated way with the manufacturers and in regularly communication with different stakeholders within the Kaufland organization, characterized by a high degree of moderation and communication skills.
  
  

Requirements:

• University degree in the field of electrical engineer.
• Sound experiences in the field of Quality Management and production in China / Asia
• Experience with German and European quality requirements on a legal, as well as customer’s basis
• Very good command of English and Chinese is necessary
• Flexibility due to frequent factory and supplier visits
