We’re looking for an experienced UX Designer/Developer hybrid who can independently take ideas through the design, implementation (delivering front-end code), and split-testing phases. Given business goals, you devise your own ideas for achieving them, then design, implement, and ship features that will be used by hundreds of thousands of consumers world-wide in multiple languages.

Our ideal candidate is creative, proactive, and eager to learn. Also possesses strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and empathy.

Required skills:

1. proven talent creating user flows, wireframes, and other UX assets

2. ability to create visual mockups of user-centered designs for different screen sizes

3. expert at using HTML, CSS, and JS to create responsive websites. You take great pride in the quality of your code.

4. keen understanding of how people think and make decisions

5. excellent communication skills

6. nice to have: ability to create simple illustrations, though we also have a visual designer on our team who could help as necessary

7. nice to have: experience in a programming language

8. nice to have: English copywriting skills

9. excited to learn new technologies. For example, we’d teach you Ruby and Rails.

Your responsibilities would include:

1. Increase our sales coming from referrals. Get more of our existing customers to refer their friends. You decide how best to achieve that. Decide what metrics to track, implement your ideas, ship and split-test them to see what works best. This would involve designing and implementing UIs for our website and emails, and also working with our mobile apps team to build a well-coordinated UX across mobile and web.

2. Optimize our sales conversion funnels. For each of our PPC or SEO campaigns, build new and optimize existing sales funnels. This will involve lots of split-testing (aka “AB testing”) and analytics. You brainstorm ideas, design and implement them, then collect data to prove what’s most successful. You’d collaborate with team members across marketing, development, and support.

3. Increase sales from organic search traffic. Work with our SEO team to build more targeted landing pages and optimize their conversion rates.

4. Improve the UX in any part of our service. Identify customer pain points, measure them, and solve them. We’re lucky to have a lot of traffic, so we can run split-tests and get statistically significant results often in less than a day.
