Job Duties

• Study and analyze all specified requirements to work out the overall technical and application design for system development;
• Prepare schedule for new data warehouse development
• Perform all activities related to designing, implementing and testing the proposed solutions with expertise in using related methods and tools;
• Prepare plans for all ETL procedures and architectures;
• Monitor data warehouse work and provide subject matter expertise;
• Coordinate with external clients and participate in various technical meetings.
• Design, write and test customization programs according to the specified requirements;
• Capture data warehouse meta data
• Perform data conversion and migration for the data warehouse;
• Produce project documentation including system specifications, application operations manuals, application user manuals, program specifications for programmers;
• Devise test plans and set up various environments for conducting functional tests, system integration tests, load tests and resilience tests;
• Diagnose and fix the problems and errors found in various tests;
• Perform software quality assurance activities and review of program source code;
• Perform the production rollout of the data warehouse system;

Job Requirements

• University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• More than 7 years of IT experience in which at least 4 years of experience in
  • Business Intelligence
  • Data Warehousing
  • ETL
  • Experience in insurance and financial industry
  • Experience in data migration for different Datawarehouse software packages
  • Strong spoken and written English
  • Capture, analyze and document reference data requirements, including data requirements, functional requirements, and non-functional (e.g. performance and service level) requirements.
  • Strong customer management and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Experienced in handling government projects is highly preferable.
  • Good team player, self-initiative and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese is a must.
