Duties:  The appointee will play an important role in planning, developing and managing programmes offered by the Life, Biomedical & Medcial Laboratory Sciences and General & Environmental Sciences subject groups. He/She will perform programme management and administrative duties. The scope of duties includes planning and development of new programmes, quality assurance of programmes, co-ordination and liaison with students, teachers and professional bodies. In addition, he/she will assist the Head of College in the daily operation of the subject units and supervision of administrative staff, and perform other academic and administrative duties such as preparation of unit budget and development plan, attend committee meetings and manage the subject units as required.

Requirements:  Candidates should have at least a Masters degree, or preferably a Ph.D. in a biological science or biomedical science discipline, AND with at least 10 years of working experience in a tertiary institution or hospital. Good interpersonal skills as well as a good command of English and Chinese (both spoken and written) are required. Preference will be given to those with laboratory accreditation or academic accreditation experience. 

Terms of appointment:  Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of contract.
