Job Description

The Job:

  • Works with team and factories to identify issues upfront that may prevent product objectives from being met, including cost targets, quality standards in construction and materials, ease of manufacture, etc.

  • Supports the costing process during a season including ensuring all cost sheets are completed and submitted in a timely fashion.

  • Works collaboratively with Materials Supply, Quality, Costing, Production, etc. as necessary to ensure an on time buy ready/commercialization performance.

  • Coordinates organizational tasks and communications relating to all relevant systems and data updates.

  • Ensures timely and accurate data regarding factory capacity, capabilities, lead times, first/last ex-factory dates or other data as required including in-putting of data in all necessary IT systems.

  • Works closely with Technical Services and/or Development Merchandisers to ensure smooth and timely transitions from development to production start to shipment.

  • Passes orders and forecasts to factories on a timely basis and ensures timely feedback with data accurately entered in system. Responsible for order confirmation and acts as liaison between suppliers and Inventory Management team to address PO issues or rejects.

  • Manages day-to-day production tracking, including fabric status, tracks production performance and proactively addresses potential delivery problems with supplier management, including mill, suppliers and factories.

  • Ensures factory base and internal team understand and timely adopt new process and procedures to improve delivery and quality performance.

  • Understands and able to communicate to ensures supplier adhere to the company's initiatives and requirements.

  • Pass forecasts to suppliers for capacity booking and follow-up of material and trim pre-booking to ensure availability at time of production.

  • Perform ad-hoc assignements when required

 

The Person:

  • High Diploma or above in clothing technology / manufacturing / garment industry

  • 3-5 years of work experience in related field                                                

  • Good negotiation skills and knowledge of the textile business (work experience)

  • Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese

  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Chinese Word Processing.  Comfortable with learning and using internal Product Data Management systems

  • Immediate available is preferred
