Job Responsibility:

• Assist to plan and arrange for containerized shipment and goods clearance on timely basis in accordance to production / sales / purchase schedule and sales/purchase contractual terms;
• Assist the stock & warehouse management including cargo release or receipt in/from warehouses, stock balance monitoring, stock pile storage management, etc.;
• Coordinate to settle all logistics related payment timely including but not limited to ocean / inland freight, inspection fees, warehousing fees, etc.;
• Monitor overall logistics schedule & ensure forwarders’ performance;
• Monitor and analyse logistics costs inputted from overseas offices;
• Assist to follow up logistics claims by conducting investigations and preventive actions to improve operation efficiency and quality;
• Handle freight inquiries from Commerce Department;
• Prepare regular reports on logistics service providers’ performance and stock reconciliation to Deputy General Manager/General Manager Logistics; and
• Handle any ad-hoc and reasonable tasks as assigned from time to time.
  
  
  

Job Requirements:

• ŸHigher Diploma / Degree holder in Logistics Management or related discipline;
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in logistics and/or the metals or commodities distribution sector with general knowledge of container/break bulk shipments;
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills;
• Independent, high initiative and responsible, able to work under pressure and be a good team player;
• Good command in both spoken and written English and Mandarin is a must.
