Job Description:

• report to Senior IT officer

• provide help desk, operation and technical support in front and back office environment

  and liaise with users, application teams and vendors to resolve problems

• provide support in Windows Servers, networking and infrastructure

• resolve technical issues and handle answer queries for computer hardware, software, network, domain and telecommunications systems that originate by telephone, voice mail, or e-mail.

• provide IT support to Trading Floor

• maintain record of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.

• assist with hardware and software upgrades.

• risk management and support in disaster situation

• follow documented processes and escalate issues as needed.

• perform other duties as assigned by Senior IT officer

Requirements:

• university graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
• a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience required on enterprise network design and in Financial Institutions
• support skill & knowledge for Blackberry, Windows XP, MS Office, IBM Lotus and MS Outlook are preferable
• knowledge in network technologies (for examples: TCP IP, LAN, Internet, DNS, DHCP)
• 2 years+ solid experience in Linux / Unix operating systems, and at least 1 years of management experience.
• Perform Linux system administration including system setup and backup, software installation, patch upgrade, system monitoring and health checks System troubleshooting and performance turning
• Root cause analysis skills, ability to identify patterns and generate informed ideas
• Strong knowledge Oracle/MySql admin work experience.
• Practical experience in Red Hat/Centos and Ubuntu/Debian is preferred
• Knowledge on middleware products such as Apache, Tomcat, IIS, WebLogic
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills
• Proficient in windows / shell scripting
• willing to learn and able to work under pressure and non-office hours
• strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• responsible, good problem solving & communication skills and able to work independently
• fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin
