CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for at least one key subject or several other subjects.  Identifies, evaluates and exploits publishing opportunities (frontlist & backlist) to achieve maximum market share. 
• Researches market(s) and competition and recommends publishing proposals.
• Identifies and commissions authors and consultants.  Negotiates terms and contracts with authors and consultants.
• Responsible for liaising with authors and advisors.  Plans and organizes all aspects of each project and ensures budget/cost levels and production schedules are met.  Co-ordinates all aspects of the publishing project through all stages.
• Supervises and manages the editorial teams to work effectively towards the publishing goal of each project.
• Responsible for designing and presenting at seminars and school workshops when required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines
• Min 5-8 years of relevant editorial experience.  Teaching experience preferred. 
• Sound market knowledge.
• Strong organization, analytical and problem solving skills
• Can conform to changing environment and shifting priorities, demands and timelines
• Strong communication skills in spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) and English
• High PC literacy: MS Office
