Job Description

The Project Manager serves as the key leader for planning and managing various regional initiatives and program development for Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong(HFHHK). This position reports to the Senior Director of Special Projects and works closely with various departments within Area Office (finance, resource development, information technology, communications, etc.) and other Asia Pacific country programs.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for implementation details and managing the day-to-day ongoing operational aspects of assigned projects and initiatives (including the 2015 Asia Pacific Housing Forum (http://www.aphousingforum.org/) and mainland China initiatives)
  • Plan and execute project workplan (including project timelines/milestones, resources and deliverables) to meet the goals and objectives of each assigned initiative.
  • Secure resources, facilitate decision making and manage the interaction with external stakeholders and the various departments within the organization (finance, resource development, information technology, communications, etc.).
  • Prepare and presents ongoing and timely reports and updates to communicate the results of the initiatives, celebrate successes and identify potential areas of improvement.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in departmental and organizational meetings, events, and initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Special Programs
  • Based in Hong Kong with some travel to mainland China and other countries as necessary


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience with demonstrated success in project management
  • Excellent time-management, communication, and organization skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organization (both internal and external)
  • Superior analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communications in English and Chinese
  • Prior experience in nonprofit and/or international environment a plus
  • A commitment to community service and nonprofits is essential.
