Job Position: Wing Han is seeking an experienced Merchandising Director/ Assistant Merchandise Director to oversee and manage one of the group’s fastest growing departments (www.headwind.com.hk) specializing in ceramic, stainless steel, and plastic drinkware.  Candidate will report directly to the CEO.

Duties

• Manage a base of 30+ factories across multiple product categories and sourcing new factories as needed.
• Able to lead and manage a department of merchandisers, shipping clerks, administrators, graphic designers, and QC/QA.
• Monitor and manage departmental budgets, planning and forecasting.
• Managing production scheduling for all the department’s products.
• Responsible for factory negotiation, auditing, inspection, shipping and compliance.
• Able to oversee the development of multiple OEM projects, and provide input as needed on manufacturing feasibility, product testing and compliance issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years experience in manufacturing and trading.
• Diploma or Above.
• Experience and strong technical knowledge of production and manufacturing, preferably in ceramics, plastic and stainless mugs and bottles.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience dealing with Mainland factories.
• Strong communication skills and experience dealing with US-based companies
• Willing to travel to China as often as necessary.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English
• Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
