JOB OBJECTIVE

The objective of this position is to manage the inventory in order to maximize sales and maintain a healthy inventory level in Michael Kors Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan for both full price and outlets stores.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be responsible for allocation / replenishment / rebalancing for selected product categories within Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan
• Allocate, replenish, and rebalance inventory by store, according to Prioritize key stores and understand product substitutes in limited stock situations
  • Seasonal flow, including seasonal launch, floor sets, markdown, and liquidation
  • Product lifecycle and markdown risk (such as core/carryover items vs. fashion newness)
  • Sales performance by store, down to the SKU level
  • Optimal inventory levels by store according to store type, sales performance and store capacity
  • Anticipate peak / slow shopping periods and holidays
  • Anticipate future product (such as reserving and rebalancing) according to store opening plan
• Prepare inventory for new store openings
• Promotion and markdown management
• Organize and coordinate return
• Old inventory digestion plan
• Partner with other team members and functions as needed, for example
• Partner with logistics to ensure timely execution of allocation / replenishment
  • Communicate with stores on store requests and needs; enforce efficient transfers / returns from stores
  • Work with buyers to understand product needs by store and substitutes in limited stock situations
  • Partner with buyers to support special marketing requests (e.g. store events)
    
    
    

SKILLS and WORK EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree or above
• Strong record of academic and professional performance, with references
• 8-10 years’ inventory management experience in the retail industry. (Outlets experience is better).
• Extremely sensitive to numbers; strong data analysis and Excel skills
• Establish and develop the inventory management team.
• Honest, open, and non-hierarchical attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills
• Driven to execute efficiently and accurately
• Professional demeanor
• Proactive, ambitious, flexible, and entrepreneurial; able to work in a startup environment
• Computer and systems literate
