Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Global Social Responsibility & Sustainability, the Senior Manager, Social Responsibility will play a critical and highly involved role as a member of ACCO’s global compliance team. This role will manage a small team to lead the global execution of the company’s social responsibility program, including social and security audits and remediation.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage social responsibility program, including social and security audits and remediation
  • Implement customer and licensor social responsibility requirements
  • Collaborate with sourcing organization to ensure social responsibility requirements are integrated within the supply chain
  • Review all social and security audits and develop required actions and timelines, including communicating requirements to suppliers and assign remediation work within the team
  • Lead with the approval process to determine if new suppliers meet the company’s compliance requirements
  • Provide organizational updates and metrics based on supplier performance
  • Train internal and external stakeholders on social responsibility
  • Recommend program enhancements and improvements
  • Provide management and leadership to social responsibility team, both locally and abroad
  • Other projects as assigned


Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a technical field is required
  • At least 10 years of experience in regulatory compliance and issues management, both domestic and international
  • Business focused with a strong work ethic and a passion for understanding the business and contributing in a meaningful way to the business strategy. Ability to apply business acumen to compliance strategy
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Experience working with and managing teams, as well as remotely
  • Proven ability to multitask and be a self-starter with an ability to work across divisions and levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated program leadership and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, public relations, and personal presentation skills
  • Strong leadership qualities, ability to harness the commitment & contribution of team members outside of direct span of control
  • Effectively partners and collaborates with leaders at multiple levels
  • Demonstrates proven ability to manage effectively through change
  • Portrays exceptional facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution skills
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must be willing to travel globally
