Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for consumer & industrial electronics products mechanical design & tooling design review and verification, to minimize or eliminate manufacturing or quality risks.
- Optimize manufacturability & reliability on new products for mechanical design & manufacturing assembly .
- Determine process requirements for new products & measure product performance to those requirements.
- Interface frequently with R & D department and factory related departments to monitor the design process and design for manufacturability.
- Monitor suppliers tooling process to meet our product schedule.
- Analyze and resolve mechanical design problems and provide solutions on prototyping, mathematical and tolerance analysis, simulations, CAE tools etc.
- Provide technical support and project coordination with customers, suppliers, factories and related departments
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years experience in the ODM design field, hands-on experience on design and project management
- Knowledge and solid experience in mechanical design related to consumer electronics products
- Familiar with Tooling & Injection Molding Process and Techniques is required
- Capable to use CAD, Pro/E and Solidworks
- Understand manufacturing concepts (cycle time reduction, DFA, PFMEA, etc)
- Good command of both spoken and written English, Cantonese and Putonghua
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership skill, result-oriented and ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
- Based in Shenzhen
